| An
Atlanta-based wholesale IP service provider was experiencing high
temperatures in its main server room. As a tenant in a 10-story
high-rise in downtown Atlanta, our customer was at the mercy of
the landlords unreliable central chiller system. High temperature
alarms in our customers server room were a frequent occurrence.
The Atlanta location was a critical hub for its telecommunication,
Internet service provider and application service provider customers.
NuTemp
received a call at 1:00 AM, on a January night, from the Night Operations
Center (NOC) manager. The temperature in their server room was 90°F
and rising, causing temperature alarms to signal collocated customers
across the country. NuTemp responded and delivered two 1-ton spot
coolers within an hour and a half of the initial call. Temperatures
in the room fell to normal levels. Over the course of the next few
weeks, NuTemp eventually installed eight 2-ton spot coolers to provide
uninterrupted cooling for 5 months, until a new, permanent air conditioner
was installed.
NuTemps
24/7 availability, kept our clients server room from shutting
down due to high temperatures. Our client was able to maintain uninterrupted
service along its 20,000 mile leased backbone network.
